Stormzy signed a global contract with a talent agency CAA. The deal also covers the rapper’s #Merky company.

Universal Music Africa announced a pan-African distribution partnership with French rapper and entrepreneur Booba and his Tallac Archives label. The deal will make his albums available across Africa for the first time. It also sees the launch of a new label 92i Africa in partnership with Universal Music France which arrives with the first signatures DopeBoy DMG and Didi B.

Sentric Music and Nick Halkes jointly signed the production duo PBH & Jack to a publishing contract. “We are delighted to sign with Nick and Sentric Music,” the duo said. “We have to say that it is quite an honor that the manager of The Prodigy has come straight to us and, to top it off, we are their very first co-signer!” It really happened at the right time for us. Dance label Cr2 files has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Believe. “We are LOVED to sign this long term agreement with Cr2,” says Ben Rimmer of Believe. “The old models of local licensing and multi-partner solutions for a record label’s digital retail make less sense in the modern digital music industry, so now is the perfect time for Mark. [Brown, Cr2 CEO] to consolidate its worldwide digital audio-video and streaming business with Believe ”.

AI-powered digital audio company Super Hi-Fi announced a partnership with 7 numeric, providing advanced playback tools and recommendations to the B2B music platform. “The music streaming market has become largely undifferentiated in terms of music selection, price, functionality and access,” said Super Hi-Fi CEO Zack Zalon. “We are adding fully integrated compatibility with 7digital’s music platform, to create a transparent layer of value for our respective customers. The result enables digital music service providers and music-focused consumer brands to create highly compelling personalized audio products that were previously inaccessible. ”

TIC Tac UK users can now benefit from four months of Spotify Premium for free, provided they have not already subscribed to a premium account on the streaming platform. Users of the video sharing app in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and Turkey can also get three or four months of Spotify streaming for now. “We are LOVED to offer eligible TikTok users in multiple markets access to all the music and podcasts they love anytime, anywhere,” said Marc Hazan of Spotify.

Tycho and Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben gibbard released a new collaborative single, ‘Only love’. The song “started life as an instrumental, but something was missing,” Tycho says. “I sent Ben a rough demo and he recorded some vocals on it. The first time I heard the rough vocals, the whole song suddenly took on meaning and the arrangement followed ”.

Tommy Cash and Quebonafide released a new track together, ‘Benz-Dealer’. It’s the Estonian-Polish rap crossover you never knew you needed.

Joan as a policewoman released a new single ‘Take me to your leader’, with Dave Okumu of The Invisible and the late Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen. The track is taken from an album they recorded together shortly before Allen’s death, titled “The Solution Is Restless,” which will be released on November 5th. Joan As Police Woman will perform in the UK in March and April of next year.
