The Break-Up | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online was mostly shocked by Vince Vaughan, who showed me for the first time that he wasn't the long-delayed immature frat boy he so often plays, but actually an imperfect hilarious, yet often silly, character who's main flaw is his selfishness. Rated: B Sep 12, 2017 Full Review The Break-Up | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Philip French Guardian This is that branch of the romantic comedy known as 'a relationship movie', but generally short on witty lines and amusing incidents. Jul 22, 2006 Full Review The Break-Up | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Tony Horkins Empire Magazine The Break-Up doesn't turn the rom-com on its head, but with its focus on the darker side of love manages to gently tip it on its side. Rated: 3/5 Jul 22, 2006 Full Review The Break-Up | Rotten Tomatoes (4) David Walsh World Socialist Web Site One feels a little frightened for Anniston's character on occasion. The misogynistic tone of the script is palpable. Feb 14, 2021 Full Review The Break-Up | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Richard Crouse Richard Crouse This is a perfect date movie if you plan on dumping the person you're with when the movie is over. Rated: 2/5 Jan 31, 2021 Full Review The Break-Up | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens So, pick a side, any side. We all know that breaking up is hard to do. You can at least do it with laughter with The Break Up. Nov 7, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Olena K Very deep. Love it! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/15/24 Full Review Gnr E It’s hilarious! I recommend it for anyone who hasn’t watched it yet Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Chase D If you’re looking for a romantic comedy, this isn’t it. It’s more a depressing drama with hints of humor and no real payoff. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/30/24 Full Review M I like the movie because, I've been there. The breakdown in communication, saying terrible things, doing terrible things, each party doing everything they can to hurt the other. It was like reliving the past.I've grown, and I don't do this anymore. But watching it on screen, every little thing, the refusal to compromise, the refusal to come to the table, the refusal to understand each other; I think it's something everyone can relate to, and you know, that if they just swallowed their pride, and sat down and talked and listened, then things would have been fine, and they would have been together. When two people in a relationship stop giving, and worse, start hurting each other, it spirals out of control.I felt they illustrated that point quite well, and they deserve more attention for it. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review Debbie A If you have ever lived with verbal or emotional abuse and want to re-live it, this could be for you. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Gareth v Another movie to add to the list of stinkers Jennifer Anniston has been involved in. Unfunny, dull and outright bad.
