Ã…sa Carild has joined Utopia as Head of Platform.
Based in Stockholm, she reports to Utopia’s Chief Data Officer, Paul Gathercole.
Carild will lead the Utopia platform unit which provides consumption analytics and economic data for the company’s service offering.
She previously created and worked with several online licensing centers, including ICE, the international collaboration between GEMA, STEM and PRS.
Most recently, she was CEO of the Polaris Nordic Licensing Center.
Since starting her career in the music industry as a singer, Carild has also worked as Manager Nordics for Nokia’s music business, ran her own label and spent almost four years as COO for gaming technology company MuchDifferent.
Carild joins a growing team of more than 100 Utopia employees in offices located in Zug, London, Helsinki and Stockholm.
Other recently announced hires include UK executive Roberto Neri as COO and Amazon and Universal alumni Paul Gathercole as chief data officer.
