The wizarding world of Harry Potter returns to the big screen this weekend, and film critic Greg Russell has joined Live in the D to talk about it and more in “Reel Talk.”

Greg kicked off with the new movie that will have all Harry Potter fans running in theaters. It’s “Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets”. It’s the third film in the Fantastic Beats saga, and Greg said it was a fun film to watch and gives this film four out of five reels.

Then a new movie on Netflix, “Metal Lords,” is about three high school teenagers who love metal music and decided to start their own heavy metal band. It starts with one guy on lead, another on drums, and a girl playing cello, and the next thing you know, they start sizzling.

Greg had a sizzling chat with the cast members, and Isis Hainsworth, who plays Emily in the film, said she wasn’t into metal music before this role and it was completely new to her. She added that it was incredibly special to be introduced to metal music in this way with amazing people. Greg gives this movie four reels because it’s an interesting story and shows determination.

Finally, a new limited series on Apple TV+ with some big names is “Roar,” and it’s different because each episode is its own story centered on a different woman. Greg said that this series is female-focused and female-based and is about life, love, the world around you, and any kind of situation you can imagine. The best part is, even for guys, you can look at this and say, “I’ve been through that too, to some extent,” according to Greg. Some of the cast members include Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Issa Rae, etc.
