Mike Sherwood joins Capitol Music Group as Executive Vice President of Global Business Marketing and Strategy

Mike Sherwood has been appointed Executive Vice President of Global Business Marketing and Strategy for Capitol Music Group (CMG).

Sherwood will report to CMG’s Managing Director and Executive Vice President Larry Mattera and will be based in Hollywood.

In his new role, Sherwood will lead CMG’s business marketing and direct-to-consumer (D2C) marketing strategies, while striving to maximize the company’s revenue through these revenue streams.

It will interface directly with all of CMG’s digital and physical partners on frontline outputs, says CMG, and will work closely with Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) to amplify the performance of CMG’s catalog.

Sherwood was previously Senior Vice President, Revenue and Business Accounts, at Warner Records.
