Sony Music-backed music creation, collaboration and distribution startup Tully has partnered with music distributor Symphonic Distribution.
Founded by tech entrepreneur Dhruv Joshi and rapper Joyner Lucas, Tully’s services range from workflow management and asset management, industrial contract templates, publication and licensing support.
Symphonic says the partnership aims to be a VIP distribution component, so that it can provide âvalue-addedâ label services to certain members who qualify.
In April 2020, Sony Music Entertainment took what Tully describes as “a top strategic investment” in the business to help it expand its offerings and grow its user base.
The startup launched three new levels of premium paid services under the âTully Platformâ banner in November 2020.
Symphonic Distribution expanded to Africa and Mexico in May and Brazil in January.
Last October, FUGA and Symphonic struck distribution deals with Nigeria-based streaming startup MePlaylist.
âI’m excited about Tully’s partnership with Symphonic because it’s an opportunity for artists on our platform to get the team they need for distribution and to be successful without losing their independence. ”
