Natascha Augustin has been promoted to Vice President of Warner Chappell Music (WMC) Germany.
She will continue to report to Lars Karlsson, Managing Director, Warner Chappell Music Scandinavia and Germany.
Augustin previously served as Senior Creative Director and was a “key player” in the growth of the rap and hip-hop scene in Germany, WMC explains.
The company claims its work has been a major factor in securing WCM Germany number one spot among domestic publishers for the past three consecutive years.
She will be based between Munich and Berlin, where she opened the new WCM office and will lead its new creative hub.
Augustine has signed and developed a number of German rap stars.
This includes Capital Bra, 187 Strassenbande, Apache 207, Bausa, Bozza, Farid Bang, Jamule, Juju, Kalim, Luciano, Makko, Nimo, Reezy, Summer Cem, t.low; producers such as Miksu & Macloud, Juhdee & Yung Mesh, Ghana & Geenaro; and the pop and dance writers who define the M22 genre, Tom Gregory and Felix Jaehn.
These artists have helped Warner Chappell Music to see its market share of the national repertoire reach over a third (33.64%) in Germany in 2020.
