Veteran R&B group New Edition announced Monday that they are bringing The Culture Tour to Memphis with a show on March 13 at FedExForum. The show will also star Charlie Wilson and special guest Jodeci.
The six members of New Edition – Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant – will take the stage next spring. This is the group’s first tour since 2014.
In 1983, New Edition released their first single, “Candy Girl”, from their self-titled album, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Black Single Charts and beating Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. Since then, New Edition has released more than six studio albums and received several Soul Train and American Music Awards, as well as a Grammy nomination.
