Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz compared the playing styles of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to particular types of music. When it comes to Federer, Wentz described the Swiss as a guitar solo because there’s just something special when you see him play.
On the other side, Wentz compared the style of Nadal and Serena Williams to heavy metal. Wentz is the bassist and lyricist for rock band Fall Out Boy. “He’s (Roger Federer) a guitar solo,” Wentz told tennis.com, according to Sportskeeda.
“When you see him play, you see something incredibly beautiful. With them (Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams) it’s doomsday – heavy metal, relentless, coming out like a train, just super heavy.”
Federer announced his intention to return
Federer, who underwent knee surgery last August, is expected to turn 41 in August, but he is not done playing tennis. “I still have to wait a bit to run. Hopefully I can increase that more and more over the next few months and hopefully make a comeback in the middle or end of 2022,” Federer said recently. to SRF.
“The operation was the right thing. The knee wasn’t well after Wimbledon. It couldn’t go on like this. I’m fine. I walked on crutches for 2 months and had to start all over again.” Recently, Federer reflected on the last year.
“After several months of injury, my return to the circuit in March, after my first operation, gave me a boost and energized me to continue my tennis career. I am grateful for every minute I was able to spend with my tennis fans and family.
My experience in Doha showed me that my journey as an elite athlete is not over yet. The progress I am making every day reinforces my belief that I will be healthy and strong enough to return to the tennis court at the highest level,” Federer wrote in his annual report.
