TMN The music industry awards, The Tinnies, are back for 2021, and this year we’ve expanded the categories to reflect the changing music industry in Australia.
This year, in partnership with award supporter TikTok, the TMN Tinnies will honor the best use of TikTok in Australian music.
Every day new artists are discovered on the platform, which can also give new life to old tracks, give creators more chances to find new fans, provide more in-depth marketing opportunities – and what not. is just the start.
TikTok Australia and New Zealand Music Director Ollie Wards highlighted how integral the platform has become for music companies, musicians and music fans across the country – something that he wishes to recognize and reward with TMN.
“Every day on TikTok, people in Australia’s music industry get creative and connect with new fans. From backstage on music video shoots to fan duos or studio pets, we love to see artists and the industry living in the minds of their audiences rent-free, ”he said.
“TikTok is delighted to continue to support creativity and innovation in Australian music by partnering with The music network to launch a new “Best Use of TikTok in Australian Music” category at Tinnies TMN 2021.

Entries in all 15 categories are free, including TikTok’s new best use in Australian music, will open this Friday, October 8, with the first registrations closing on Sunday, November 7.
Companies can nominate themselves through the Take 2 Media Awards platform when registration opens on Friday, where more details on registration and eligibility criteria will also be available.
