After a record number of registrations this year, The music network will unveil the finalists for its annual music business awards, the TMN Tinnies, on Monday, November 29.
This year’s awards focus on teams – large and small – who have worked to promote Australian music through another difficult year.
Among the 130 entries are submissions from Wonderlick Entertainment, BRING, Chugg Music, The Annex, Nightlife Music, Cooking Vinyl, Believe Artist Services, The Orchard, Yours & Owls, UNIFIED Music Group, Mushroom Music, Sony Music, Select Music, GYROstream more .
Up to five finalists will be nominated in all 15 categories, including Management Biz of the Year, Record Label of the Year, Live Music Biz of the Year and Music Biz Leader of the Year.
Additionally, the TMN Tinnies 2021 has the new COVID-19 Best Response Award which will recognize an Australian music company that has demonstrated how it has pivoted or diversified during the pandemic for business or philanthropic purposes.
TikTok has also partnered with RTM to create the award for the best use of TikTok in Australian music.
The announcement of the winners will follow on Monday 6 December.
The 2021 TMN Tinnies were made possible with support from Humm Events, iHeartRadio Australia, Ingrooves, TikTok and Vevo.
