Red Hill Entertainment of UNIFIED Music Group has partnered with Collarts to create career paths for the next generation of sought-after music industry professionals.

  • Red Hill Entertainment of UNIFIED Music Group will partner with Collarts to offer students the opportunity to work in Red Hill Entertainment’s music festivals UNIFY Forever, The Hills Are Alive and Land Of Plenty, with up to 60 roles available during the course. of the 2022 season.

The partnership is a direct response to the skills shortage the music industry now faces after a two-year lockdown and the lack of grassroots financial support for live music after COVID-19.

Collarts students have the opportunity to gain real-world work experience at Red Hill Entertainment’s UNIFY Forever, The Hills Are Alive and Land Of Plenty music festivals, with up to 60 roles available over the course of the season 2022.

The roles will cover a wide section of festival operations activity, including artist liaison, production team and accreditation, content creation, digital marketing and sponsorship.

The partnership will extend beyond live music in 2022 with the introduction of a 12-week internship program with UNIFIED, where Collarts students can apply and experience a formal interview process for internships in the management of artists, recorded music, merchandise services and head office departments.

UNIFIED will also be hosting a number of industry sessions for Collarts students throughout the year to share practical information about the music industry, including a workshop on the topic of artist management.

The Dean of Collarts, Professor Tim Moss, said that “Connecting students with industry leaders is a very important aspect of what we do, to ensure that our students and graduates are up to date, experienced and have the skills and knowledge to succeed in the career of their choice ”.

“For this reason, we are delighted to partner with Red Hill Entertainment, providing our students with real-world experiences at top-tier festivals, and also providing unique opportunities for students to get involved through volunteering and of internships.

“Students will deepen their understanding of how large-scale events are created, setting them up to contribute to the industry as their careers unfold,” he said.
