Ville Valo Shares “Echolocate Your Love” From Upcoming Album

In 2020, icon HIM Ville Valo resurfaced as VV with a trio of new songs. Then, this spring, the singer returned with the track “Loveletting” from the upcoming VV album, Black Neon. Another novelty this week Black Neon track, “Echolocate Your Love”, emerged.

It arrived on Friday (September 2) with a music video for the post-punk and heavy metal-inspired track.

Valo said of the song, “It’s a step-by-step sonic guide to surviving, and maybe even enjoying, the realm of VV with its abundance of things jostling in the night. It’s a teary mascara marathon between Robert Smith and Ozzy, with a hint of hope.”

In April, the singer explained, “As fun as the funeral rites were for HIM, it took me more than a few moons to lick my wounds in the shade of the Heartagram and find an excuse to scratch and hum again.”

More details on Black Neon will be “released in due course,” according to a Friday press release. It is expected to be released in 2023. A VV tour will also be launched next year. See dates below.
