ADA Worldwide, the independent artist and record label services arm of WMG, has grown in Russia and Italy.

The company has also made several key recruitments in Central Europe, India and Latin America.

This is the latest milestone since Cat Kreidich took over the reins of the ADA earlier this year, and follows the 2020 launches of teams spanning the Benelux, Latin America, Portugal and Spain, Asia, Japan and France.

ADA Russia is headquartered in Moscow and is headed by Alexander Kasparov.

After starting out as a music journalist, Kasparov recently served as Marketing Director for Warner Music Russia for the past seven years and also co-founded his own Berlin-based record label, East Blok Music.

Previously, Kasparov was Vice President of International Marketing for Eastern Europe at EMI and Program Director for Radio Maximum, the country’s leading Russian / American FM station.

Kasparov will report to Alexander Blinov, Managing Director of Warner Music Russia.

The local operation has already made deals, including the catalog of legendary rock band Gorky Park and singer Olga Kormukhina; the Self Made Music label of Artyom Umrikhin (from multi-platinum pop group Artik & Asti); and the release of music scores from world-renowned composer Alfred Schnittke.

The launch of ADA Russia follows the unveiling of Atlantic Records Russia in March, reflecting Warner Music’s determination to provide a range of options for artists in Europe’s fastest growing music market.

ADA Italy is headquartered in Milan and is headed by Davide D’Aquino. As Director of ADA Italy, Davide D’Aquino oversees the A&R and business development of the newly formed group.

His experience includes distribution, management and public relations in companies such as the PR agency Parole & Dintorni and RAI, the Italian public broadcasting company.

He joined ADA Italy after Artist First, where he held the position of A&R manager. He will be supported by new A&R and Marketing Director Riccardo Cresseri, who also joins ADA after Artist First, where he spent three years working in A&R with established and new indie-pop and urban artists.

D’Aquino will report to Marco Alboni, CEO of Warner Music Italy.

“I am delighted to continue ADA’s global expansion with the launch of ADA in Russia and Italy, and these key recruitments around the world. “

“There are so many opportunities in this space; I have no doubts that our services stand out and am delighted to offer even more artists and labels around the world the benefits of both a global network and local intelligence and networking. I look forward to working with these teams as ADA continues to be the biggest champion in the global independent music community.

“We are delighted to be open for business and I think you will see us grow rapidly over the next few months. “

Alexander Kasparov

Alexander Kasparov added: “The Russian music scene is exploding right now and independent labels and artists are at the heart of the action.

“We are delighted to be open for business and I think you will see us grow rapidly over the next few months. “

“Italy has always had a strong independent scene, but we want to do more to help our independent artists reach a global fan base. “

Davide D’Aquino

Davide D’Aquino said: “Italy has always had a strong independent scene, but we want to do more to help our independent artists reach a global fan base.

“We are also here to complement Warner Music Italy’s presence at the national level in order to broaden the marketing channels we can offer to local artists.
